Are your tweets getting noticed?

How about engagement? Are your Tweets getting enough engagement on Twitter?

Engagement is the Holy Grail. If people are not engaging with you on Twitter, you’re wasting your time.

There are many ways to maximize your chances of getting engagement on Twitter such as:

1. Keep tweets short and sweet. Shorter tweets with around 110 characters get 17% higher engagement. This allows people who retweet to add their own comments and hashtags.

2. Tweet during the daytime hours. Tweets between 8am and 7pm, will have 30% higher interaction.

3. Tweet on the weekends. The weekend is not the time to take a break from tweeting. Schedule tweets using tools like Buffer or Hootsuite on Saturday and Sunday and you will see a 30% boost in engagement.

4. Tweet between 1-4 times a day. Don’t have the time? Use tools to schedule tweets. Don’t have enough content? Use tools like Buffer or Post Planner to curate content and keep your tweets flowing.

5. Have a strong call-to-action. Engage with your audience so they engage with your content.
Use words such as:

    • you
    • twitter
    • please
    • retweet
    • post
    • follow

    6. Make sure you include links in your tweets. Tweets with links 86% more retweets, according to research! You don’t need to have links on all your tweets but adding them at least 60% of the time will boost your engagement.

    7. Use hashtags in your tweets. Adding hashtags will increase your engagement two-fold. Yep, it will double your engagement. Try not to add more then three hashtags to your tweets or they look “spammy.” Using trending hashtags will also give you a bump in engagement. You can use a tool like
